North Carolina State University Ranked 230 in Best Global Universities
2022 Times Higher Education THE World University Rankings

North Carolina State University has been ranked 230th in the 2022 Times Higher Education THE World University Rankings. The university moved up 10 spots from its ranking of 240th last year.
The THE World University Rankings are based on 13 performance indicators across five categories: teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income. NC State ranked particularly well in the research category, where it placed 165th globally.
"This ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students," said NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson. "We are committed to providing a world-class education and research experience for our students."
NC State is one of 20531 institutions that were ranked by THE this year. The top 2000 institutions made the Global 2000 list. NC State has also been ranked among the top 100 universities in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
