Napoli Star Open To Stamford Bridge Switch

Osimhen Wants Chelsea Move, But Baulks at Wage Cut

Napoli Star Open to Stamford Bridge Switch

Nigerian Forward Seeks Salary Parity

Napoli's star striker, Victor Osimhen, is reportedly keen on a move to Chelsea, but is hesitant to accept a wage reduction, according to Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedullà.

Osimhen, 24, has been in blistering form for Napoli this season, scoring 18 goals in 19 Serie A appearances. His impressive performances have attracted the attention of several top clubs, including Chelsea.

Chelsea are believed to be keen on signing Osimhen as a long-term replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who returned to Inter Milan last summer. However, the Blues are unwilling to meet Osimhen's current salary demands of around £250,000 per week.

Osimhen is said to be reluctant to accept a pay cut, especially as he is one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe. The Nigerian international is reportedly seeking a salary on par with Chelsea's top earners, such as Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Napoli are understood to be willing to sell Osimhen if they receive a suitable offer, but they are unlikely to let him leave on the cheap. The Serie A leaders are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £100 million.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be willing to meet Napoli's demands. The Blues have already spent heavily in the January transfer window, signing João Félix, Enzo Fernández, and Mykhailo Mudryk for a combined fee of over £200 million.
