A Story of Faith, Family, and Finding Meaning

Jason Schwartzman and Carol Kane will star in an upcoming film titled "Between the Temples." The Nathan Silvers-directed film will follow the story of a cantor played by Schwartzman who finds a new purpose in life when he becomes the teacher of an adult bat mitzvah student played by Kane.

"Between the Temples" will premiere in Boston on Aug. 23. The film co-stars Dolly De Leon, Caroline Aaron, and Fred Melamed.

A Fresh Take on Coming-of-Age Stories

The film explores the themes of faith, family, and finding meaning in life. It's a unique take on the coming-of-age story, with Kane's character's bat mitzvah serving as a symbol of her own personal journey.

In an interview with Variety, Silvers said he was drawn to the story because of its universal themes. "It's a film about faith, family, and finding meaning in life," he said. "These are themes that everyone can relate to, regardless of their religious background."
