Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha has expressed his desire to complete his contract with the men's national cricket team despite recent speculation about his future.

Hathurusingha was appointed as Bangladesh's all-format coach in early 2023 on a two-year contract. This marks his second stint with the team, having previously coached them from 2014 to 2017.

Mixed Assessment

During a media address in Rawalpindi, Hathurusingha reflected on his time with Bangladesh, acknowledging a mixture of highs and lows.

He stated, "There have been some good moments and some challenging moments, but overall, I am happy with the progress we have made as a team."

Commitment to Contract

Despite the challenges, Hathurusingha emphasized his commitment to the team and his desire to remain in his role until the end of his contract, which runs until the 2025 Champions Trophy.

"I am contracted until the Champions Trophy in 2025, and I am keen to see it through," he said. "I believe that we have a talented group of players, and I am confident that we can achieve success together."
