Simons signs a long-term contract with German club

Dutch footballer Xavi Simons has joined RB Leipzig on a long-term contract. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder makes the move from Paris Saint-Germain, where he spent the last five seasons. Simons was born in Amsterdam and started his career with local club Amstelveen Heemraad. He joined Barcelona's youth academy in 2010 and spent seven years at the club. Simons made his senior debut for Barcelona in 2019 and went on to make six appearances for the club. He joined PSG in 2019 and made 20 appearances for the French club.
